Kick off your holiday shopping at the Senior Center’s annual Holiday Craft Faire happening this Saturday at District 56!

Barnes & Noble Coming To Elk Grove June 2026

Barnes & Noble has officially announced plans to open a new bookstore in Elk Grove in June 2026 at The Village, the retail center bordered by Big Horn Boulevard, Elk Grove Boulevard, and Wymark Drive.
 
The upcoming store will be approximately 20,000 square feet and will feature a full Barnes & Noble Café.
 
There are also a lot of other stores and resturants scheduled for that plaza.  More details coming soon.
 

Hometown Hero Kyle Larson

Kyle Larson, born and raised right here in our community, has captured his second NASCAR Cup Series Championship, adding to his first title in 2021.

Send A Smile To Seniors In Elk Grove This Christmas

  1. The City of Elk Grove is inviting the community to take part in its annual Send a Smile project, which has delivered more than 4,000 handmade holiday cards to Elk Grove seniors since 2020.
 
 For Individuals:
Anyone can stop by City Hall between November 20 and December 5 to pick up up to five free cards. Each card kit includes:
• Cardstock
• Stickers
• A pre-addressed, stamped envelope
After decorating the cards and adding a warm holiday message, participants are asked to mail them by December 19.
 
 For Community Groups, Clubs & Classrooms:
Groups that need 6–35 cards should complete the City’s bulk request form by December 3.
Approved groups will be notified by December 5, with pickup scheduled for December 8–12 at City Hall.
